To our Jane Addams panthers, parents, families, and community…welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!

It is indeed an honor to serve as the principal of such an esteemed educational institution. I, along with our assistant principal and staff are eager to embark upon a school year filled with learning, teaching and academic achievement. Although this is my fourth year in administration at Jane Addams Elementary School, I have been an educator in D89 for twenty-four years. My roles have included being a classroom teacher, reading specialist, district instructional coach and assistant principal. I have a love and passion for ensuring our scholars soar academically, which has led me to my current role as building principal. I couldn’t be more proud of our panthers’ academic growth thus far, and are eager to celebrate our next level of achievement and growth! By being immersed in a rigorous curriculum and robust instruction, it is our goal to adequately prepare our panthers for college, their professional careers, and beyond.

Our school’s vision simply states that Jane Addams will be a school of choice and community pride. We want to ensure that when our Panthers enter our school doors daily, they feel a sense of belonging to a supportive and culturally responsive school community. We believe in fostering a warm and inviting school climate and culture, where we promote citizenship amongst our students. In addition, Jane Addams’ mission is to empower and inspire students to achieve academic, social and emotional excellence in a multicultural society through a strong partnership between home and school. This partnership is key to our students’ success and is a vital part of our educational plan.

I am excited to see the success of our panthers this school year, and am looking forward to a year full of academic achievement. Let’s go Panthers, let’s go Panthers!
