The 100th Day of School

We have had 100 days of school so far this year! The students in kindergarten and first grade celebrated this special day in a variety of ways! For starters, students and teachers dressed as centenarians (100-year-olds). Students counted to 100, discussed what they would do with $100, counted by 10s, 5s, and 1s to get to 100, and drew what they might look like at 100 years old. The kids ran in place for 100 seconds and then did 100 exercises! Some classes made posters with 100 small objects attached, and our 5th graders helped the younger students make 10 groups of 10. What a special day!
